Along with all the other well-known reasons to eat more fruits and vegetables, new research indicates that doing so may reduce your risk of dying from heart disease.
So... How many servings of fruits & veggies are you eating each day?

I have to keep things like grapes and oranges visible in the fridge, but I don't like my apples and bananas refrigerated so I keep them on the counter where they're right in the line of vision. When I feel "snacky" it's so easy to just grab something and go.

Another thing that helps is putting things like grapes, strawberries, cherries, etc. into snack sized bags. That way they're all ready for munching and I don't have to worry about washing or anything.

HI Carol. I don't eat enough fruits and vegetables each day either, but i'm trying to do better. I have the little apple slicer/corer thing too and I love it. My tip is that I spread a little peanut butter on the apples.. tasty and protein in the same snack. I love Gala apples. A little tart, but very good.

I think if you're washing them well, you should be fine to eat the peels.

Bananas & melons are all good sources of fruits, I hope you can get more of them in you.

I am trying, but fruit is never the first food I think of.

You know, I've bought 2 tomatoes recently, one last week and one this week. The first one went bad really fast, and the other one had to be eaten quickly if I wanted to enjoy it. It's definitely not a good time to be buying tomatoes. I'm looking forward to the farmer's markets too.

Sometimes I wish it was easier.

I love both fruits and veggies but it would be nice to have someone prepare it for me...lol.

Love the apple corer you mentioned you had.

I remember an orange peeler you could get from Tupperware.

Made it so much easier.

Saw some tomatoes today, they were cheap but not too good quallity-wise.

Can't wait for the Farmer's Market to open again.

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

I love vegetables to the point that when I eat in a restaurant I don't feel that they give you enough vegetables!

I know I am not eating enough fruits/vegetables, but I am trying and yes it's most definitely worth it!
