I missed only one, the one about symptoms being different for men & women. I know I have been told by my doctor that women don't have the same symptoms. And that is why women are at risk from something major. Because without the stronger clearer symptoms men get, we don't recognize the earlier warning signs or "minor" incidents that would get us in to see a doctor. And my doctors *still* say this. So, I dunno. Who do I believe? This web site or my cardiologist? :smileysurprised: I think I'll believe my doc.

I, like you, didn't have a heart attack, but have had 4 heart events in 10 years, including heart surgery.

I missed one to. Did the quiz twice

I definitely know more now.

Even though my beloved Mom died of a heart attack I never thought it had any connection to me. Mostly I felt it was because she smoked. Somehow because I didn't I wasn't at risk.

It's because ultimately I thought it couldn't happen to me.

What I do think, too, though, is that many of the symptoms you'll see listed for minor incidents could be for other reasons, too. *Actual* "indigestion" or "heartburn," or a pulled muscle, being out of alignment, etc. Nausea comes from a lot of different reasons, as does sudden sweating (hot flashes, anyone?). Plus sweating can be a side effect of an Rx...it's listed for one of my heart Rx's and I do get that periodically, and no, I don't have menopausal hot flashes any more (thank goodness, LOL! :smileyhappy:), and didn't before heart surgery and the new Rx's. :| So, I don't know about anyone else, but even now, post heart surgery for blocked vessel replacement (I never had a heart attack/stroke), I'm not going to freak out and go running into emergency or my cardiologist for just any minor twinge, know what I mean? If something is persisting, than yeah, I would check in with my doctor, now that I'm post heart surgery, though. :) But before they found out I had the blocked vessels? Nope, not likely I would have connected with it being a heart issue. And that is scary! :smileysurprised:

Gypsy

That's a good quiz. I only missed 2 questions.

How did you do?
