Thanks. I'm still looking for the Heinz no salt ketchup. The reviews online I have read indicate that it's better than Hunts. So I'm still holding out hope...

I know Heinz makes it's tomatoe juice in low salt or no salt and their original version.

I know that many condiments, sauces and gravy contain added sodium...not good.

Another alternative is to use less but I know that is hard.

If I find out I will let you know.

Has anyone found a good recipe for no salt ketchup? I just picked up the Hunt's brand and after trying it, then trying to add a few things to it to make it more palatable, I gave up and threw it in the trash. I have heard that Heinz also makes a no salt version. Anyone tried it/liked it?

Here's a good discussion on our sister forum GardenWeb which talks about using herbs to "perk up" low salt or no salt. It's nit a substitute but it does relieve the blandness...
