I would be really interested in hearing your story.

After my heart attack, my life definitely underwent life-style changes...

Please share with us...

I was forty-nine when I had it...very scarey...

My dd has to go for an echo-cardiogram.

She was in the hospital. An infection to her heart and lungs.

I take low dose Aspirin to.

And I am on other medication.

Living with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and Psoriasis.

Depression...

I try to walk every day.

Dealing with Pain and Fatigue.

Cut down my Caffeine intake and other things like eggs etc.

I definitely have reduced my salt (sodium) intake.

I am a Label-Reader.

Don't smoke, actually never have.

Love my fruits and vegetables, not a big meat-eater.

Thanks so much for sharing.

What kind of tests did you have?...if you don't mind me asking?

My daughter was in the hospital for quite some time, we are so glad she is alive.

A prayer definitely answered.

My younger sister has been having some issues to.

I have some bone loss but who doesnt at 57 ..

oh; I am hoping your DD is fine. Does heart disease run in your family? It runs in mine along with other things.

I was so careful in taking such good care of myself but I let my body start falling apart little by little and it caught up.. I have lost 8 lbs. and need to lost

I guess I'm lazy. I know I need to walk regularly, but I don't. Probably still eat more meat than I should and not enough fruits and veggies. Have the stress test coming up in April, hopefully that will get me motivated to get walking before hand.

Hi, I've just been browsing these forums since I joined but this thread caught my attention because I have much the same worries. My grandmother died of a heart attack at 69. My mother recently had a major heart attack at 70 and miraculously beat the odds to survive. She has also been a cancer survivor. So I live my life with all this on my mind.

I used to be very active up through my 30s but a leg injury pretty much ended my active lifestyle. So as I have gotten older, my diet has become increasingly important to me. Of all the nutritional advice I've seen or been given the one I like best is Mark Macdonald's. His approach just makes sense to me because it isn't about "dieting" but about eating, which I love to do! You can find a lot of his advice on youtube but he also has published his own book called Body Confidence (available on amazon) that's worth reading IMO.

He recently endorsed a meal replacement/supplement product called RVL by Monavie (available online http://acaihealthdrinks.biz/monavie-rvl-weight-management-solutions.html), which delivers the combination of nutrients he talks about. They also make a heart healthy juice called Pulse (http://acaihealthdrinks.biz/monavie-pulse-healthy-juice-for-healthy-heart.html), which I decided to drink because it's designed to help manage cholesterol.

Mark's endorsement of the products is what really convinced me to try them and I have made them a part of my regular diet now.
