Burqa debate.

If i can post here is thanks to my cousin and my sister-in-law, we are mostly concerned in religious subjects and we were touched by a video regarding a French girl that was converted to Islam. Like me she was full veiled of black and faceless and she made this choice at the age of 19 but unlike me she wears the niqab of her own free-will. In any case i respect her because she was very brave to do that, i still would like to wear at least a lighter veil but wearing the niqab and adapting myself to this way of life i gained respect in this community. I know that in Europe there is a debate about banning the burqa that in my opinion it's a symptom, not the real problem. In my teens i was integrated in Western society and it was shocking to change radically my way of life but now i have the impression that the girl who made this choice wants only stay away from a superficial society. I'm not a supporter of the niqab but i take it easy, it allows me no peripheral vision and it's very hot but only losing my freedom i realized the value of many things.

I personally would never subject myself to wearing such a covering but I guess if you chose it on your own free will, then in a free country it should be allowed. However, I do see the concern because like anything else, it can be used as a disquise for ill intentions.
