About cars.....LOL

It is so hard to tell someone about cars when they ask here at the garden because....there are those of us that buy something and have no complaints about it such as with my Mercury Tracer, it now has over 100,000 miles and has never not started except when the battery wore out, never been stuck in the mud or snow and it has been in both. And even though it is 23 years old I have had people tell me they thought it was about a 2000 car and it has never been in the garage it has set out all those years....well it had 18,000 when we got it so after that it was never in the garage, we put it in now when we are gone in the summer. So if they still made that car I would have one that would probably be a 2002 by now I am telling you I love that car. We have a 2004 Pontiac now that had been nothing but perfect.....do I like it? Not so much. Why? Because it is like sitting in a capsule they have cat eye windows on the back side and then that high rear window and you can't turn and see out of it.....well maybe if you were 6'.....and we know that can't happen.lol

I love the hatch back, we have had 3 of them and if one would come out that was in the same catagory as that Merc I would try my best to get my very first brand new car cause I know that when I was no longer able to drive I would be able to sell that car in good shape.......

But alas.......they don't make 3 door hatchbacks anymore. Oh they have the smart car which isn't so smart because you can't get groceries in them and they still use some gas.......that is not so smart...

ORRRR,,,,,,is it the person who in the last 10 years has had 3-5 brand new cars all the same, same make and model and sometimes color....If they like it so much why would they not try to get their money out of it? I know what a man would tell me is that OOO the trade in is so great on them that you can get a new one for almost nothing......really? I really don't believe that at all. I would like to have a time even if it was only 2 years in a row that I had no car payments...but instead paying those big payments on a car that no one buy you and the dealer knows is new? I know, I just don't get it ........I mean if you have a lot of money then that is not what I am talking about but someone who has to finance a car.....

Most of it is that I prefer to not think about something that costs alot of money there have been to many times in my life where it was hard to get groceries the thought of having to have a car to show off isn't in me....

Well when we were looking when we found the Pontiac.....we went to one dealer that had a 2003 (this was mid 2005 at the time) car that we had on our list to look at, it looked good but it was barely 2 years old and had 128,000 miles on it and he had the nerve to tell me "Well, cars just get more miles now a days and that is nothing."

I got my first brand new car last year for two reasons, my old car was getting ready to DIE and also I wanted to buy one from DS who is a car dealer...I knew he'd give me a good deal...(he better..lol)

There used to be a way here to "reply to all" but that is gone.
