How many of you ladybugs wished Shari a "Happy Birthday" on facebook instead of here in our Garden?
It breaks my heart that so many of us are now using facebook more than we do iVillage.

Unfortunately, you are right Katie.
I don't use facebook or twitter.
Belated Happy Birthday, Shari! I hope you had a fun day. I don't know you on Facebook or I would have responded there as well...
And to you, Kt, you are so very fortunate to have as many Ladybugs still posting to your board and are sticking with iVillage instead of one of the social networks. My board, on the other hand, lost all of its members to Facebook right after the last upgrade and they didn't come back! Oh, occasionally I'll see a random post from one of them, however, it's a hit and miss, and then they are gone. I've been internet friends--almost 'sisters'--to each of them since 1999, and the only way I can keep tabs on them is to go into Facebook and find them. It is sad. My board is as old as yours, I'm sure (about 12/13 years) and it is now a ghost town.
I've been on FB for a couple years since 3/4 of my 'friends' are relatives in my sister's family far away into Canada, and I keep track of their daily lives that way. I will not desert iVillage, for my heart is still here along with the rest of my dear friends who migrated to other boards, but who do stop by to check in, comment, etc., from time to time.

Katie,
I miss seeing people here as well but can understand as it is sometimes unresponsive.
Good morning KT. I usually give birthday wishes here in the Garden. I am on Facebook alot but dont really know any of the girls pages so I dont go there.
I am definitely going to try to get here more often. I do pop in frequently and check on all of you but dont always have anything to say so dont post.
Hugs, Jackie
I am not a big FB user I don't put up people pictures (where you can tell who they are) just Del in a tree......lol I just go in there once in a while and say it is not snowing or something..It is not a comfortable place....
Twitter........I could do it on the computer if I wanted but on the cel phone that and text messages are just a pain in the you know what.....don't do them.
utube..........I was not a big fan of just going there and watching people be stupid....but I found out that if you want to learn how to do something some people have put up some very good videos..... I have several wire and bead videos that are really helpful......
I too miss all the ladybugs....I still have memories of the days before texting when we were on here and posting so fast it was like texting and how many posts we would have in one day? Good Grief...if we could have kept up with those days we would without a doubt be the most posted to place at iVillage...
I too kind of understand.....now that grandkids post to you and whatever. But not totally understand.....to public......LOL......
I'm afraid to say that FB has taken over....I don't know what is going to happen to iVillage..You know the old saying...somethings gotta give???
The unfortunate part about it is that here is a place where you get to meet new people, wheras, on FB, it's already the ones you know. This is where we all met? Right???Thanks for your concern....(((hugs)))
I don't know what the answer is.
Thank you for raising the question Kt. I am one of the LadyBugs on FB, I don't like Fb because of the many invasions to privacy, but do go there daily because that's where my DIL posts so can see photos etc. Because she is not too confident writing in English she does not use email much.
I don't get to visit the Garden as much, mainly because there is no much to say, but I do miss you all heaps. There is a different feel to the Garden, it is much more protected. It is however slow, and that can be a drag. Love and hugs, Jenni
