When I go to my son's house for TG I know that the turkey and taters and gravy will be good.....but he makes boxed dressing.....that stuff is ...well.....

And his wife likes creamed corn with oysters.....that is so gross..... and because Del don't see as well as he used to he said he took some corn but didn't know what the dark stuff was in there so he didn't pick those up........but he said he thought the corn had a bad taste......lol......

I ate a piece of desert......so I didn't do to bad and didn't go back for seconds..

This morning HSN had a tracfone smartphone as todays special.....it sounded great.....I could give Del my slide phone and he could quit using his flip since he has been having problems with it. I mean my phone has internet which is so slow I never use it and a camera etc.......we thought we were right up town....so I went online to order that new one and it said to check your zip code.......and sure enough there is no where within 100 miles I can activate it....

So much for keeping up with technology........lol

Oh the bargins....... my DDIL wanted to get one DD a laptop for Christmas and if she gets in on the "bargin" I know the DGD will not be happy.......it is a 14" with 3 GB memory and a small hard drive.... And she was happy because it was only going to be $198. Not much of a bargin...But I am only the grandmother....and DDIL is always .........never mind......

So I didn't go out and get pushed and shoved and pepper sprayed.......or maybe that just happens in cities.....lol... But here in December the Walmart is crazy......It is like "Who thought on January 1st that Christmas was going to be here so soon? So why would be by anything before the 24th of December" Guess somepeople just don't think and it makes them rude and crude.....lol

They are saying we could get a big blow tomorrow.....maybe winds up to 60MPH.........but no snow TG........

Del was happy this morning he could go and "get the mail".......lol....that poor man is not happy just sitting which I am thankful for but even though he knows I don't care that he goes down town and gabs worse than 2 old hens he thinks he has to have an excuse for leaving me here alone........Like it bothered him for the first 44 years we were married and he worked all the time....lol.....

A friend has a little feed store with a little lumberyard and he got some orders for feedbunks.....we have a lot of cattle feeders around....so far since we have been home the middle of Oct. they have made 50 of them and I guess orders for more.... Del loves it....

He wants a newer pickup and I have been putting him off because I am afraid the doctor will say he can't drive. I did talk to the doc and he said he was going to try to keep Del seeing well enough he could get a licence to drive during the day time.....at least.....so I told him if he makes some extra money this winter and sells his old pickup we would get a different one......it is so funny he is like a teenager knowing he is going to be getting a car for the first time.......I am having to "look up " pickups all the time for him........

Oh, retirement........lol

OH dear, I had to laugh! I can't even imagine my husband retiring, even though he is certainly old enough. He would be like Del, figeting around all day. I'm just as glad to see him going off to work everyday. I think he probably will until he gets too old to get out of bed. LOL
So, did you order the phone you saw on HSN?

No I didn't get the phone because it couldn't be activated in our area....I tried putting in the zip for Norfolk which is big place and Yankton but nope......I was going to try Omaha but then if I can't use some of the things on it then it wouldn't be worth that much.....

When you think of it, it really is silly because after all it is a mobile phone, and who says that you wouldn't use it somewhere it could be activated? I don't understand it but the triple minutes for life would have been nice.....but then on those kind of phones you use more mintues too.....with the texting etc......Maybe we will catch up with the rest of the country soon.....lol
