Wow! That is a whole lot of questions.
This is Becky from Montana where we're all quite wealthy and exceptionally good looking...lol
The holidays are usually quiet for me.
I like the idea of the ugly sweater party...sounds fun.

As far as I know we are going to stay home. No plans... but I hate to say that around here because then people feel sorry for us and want us to come to their house for Christmas.....lol.....

I can remember when my kids were young....we were not church goers but other people were so I wouldn't let the kids call their friends or go see them on Sunday, I felt that was family time like it was when I was a kid....now I am not so sure kids even really care except for the gifts.....but I don't mind being home....never have...

Christmas will be celebrated at DD's home. A couple of December birthdays are the special events. I "downsized" when the kids got their own home. With decorations going up all over the place before we even got through Halloween, I'll have my fill without doing anything to my house. No bargain hunting going on. I only give toys so my "bargain" is one stop internet shopping. Loving the UPS and USPS guys. Cookie baking will begin tomorrow because our weekend forecast is for rain, more rain, and then cold with possible rain. The oven will keep me warm. I got the new Janet Evanovich book for my birthday so I will be laughing my way through any free time coming up.

Checking in from Texas.

Hugs,

Melissa

We are downsizing as well {it's been a yr since I last worked & can't seem to find a job. Am thinking about going back to school, but for what I really don't have any ideals about right now, plus I've run out of my unemployment as well}

We are going to our ski club's Christmas party next Saturday, maybe go to one of the local Universities music programs {those are usually very inexpensive} plus next friday is my oldest dd's bd. Our church does a Celtic Christmas service on Christmas eve, which I love going to as it's done with bagpipes & drums. Very cool service, was started by the minister who married dh & I. At the end of the month we will be going to ski club's new years ski trip to one of the local WA state ski resorts. I'm not a skiier,but will be going to get out of the house for 3 days.

We have 5 kids to buy for {our 3 gkids & dh's 2 neices}, my sister, oldest dd & sil, mil & bil. I've made 2 batches of homemade kahlua & it will be part of the gifts I give. Am making hats/caps for sil, dd {for her bd plus picking up a ear flap hat for her from Saturday market in Portland for xmas} sister & dh's 2 neices. Plus maybe 1 for me. {sister/dd/my hats are all in the color of Washington State University crimson & grey} maybe a hat for oldest gd. She only has about 15 hats that I've made her LOL.{I may try to come up with some money for yarn to make dh a new hat that matches his ski coat}

~~Sam stitches well with others, runs with scissors in her pocket. Cheerful and stupid.
