Well now I am authorized to post here....whew....

I had to get a new dishwasher, my other one was only about 3 years old but the touch panel went bad and my repairman said get a new washer on sale for what he would charge me to fix the old one. So I have clean dishes but one thing I never knew what they did to make them "better"   I don't know save water and electricty.. and I still can't figure it out. My first Kenmore had a knobs, I would set the wash,. and the dry I would set to off. Because if you opened the door as the washer got done the dishes would dry in about 5 minutes costing nothing..and the wash and rince would take maybe an hour.........now the machines take 2-3 hours to wash and you can't set them to not heat dry so if you don't catch it, it might not shut off for 4 or so hours......where is the savings in that? And this one washes so quiet that you forget to go turn it off......the old one didn't have an off and drain.....lol probably why the panel went bad because I was always opening the door when the wash was done and didn't shut it till I was ready to wash another load. No I didn't read the directions on how to shut it off I think you had to let it run it's coarse...

I also have my new toilet, shower and vanity for my bathroom we have ordered the flooring and we also have the new light and vent fan. How much good it will do me in the garage I am not sure yet..lol....Our plumber won't be able to be here for a while and we will probably have to go to the motel for at least a couple nights because we only have one bathroom..lol

We put a new hard drive into my desktop and I got it back yesterday. It seems to be working ok. I know it is very fast right now. I hope it can run till 2017 when MS won't support Vista anymore. And by then maybe Windows 28 will be out........and I hope it is better than Windows 7 and 8......

I am so glad that I backed up my computer with Carbonite. It is a snap to put things back where they belong and I can do a little at a time.

But so far I haven't put my graphics back on so I will have my Valentine for a while I guess..

. I love fitness, quilting, photography, dogs, dance, and I still work to put my children through college.

Hmmmm..... I swear I thought I had posted to this string .....   obviously not!

Hello, everyone.  My name is Katie but as I am a lazy typist I most often sign things "Kt"!  I live in the middle of the bottom third of the Michigan mitten.

Until recently I lived alone with my two purr-babies, but just before Christmas my adult DD moved back home.  We are doing nicely - even though I had my doubts that would ever be!  We are just way too much alike!!  LOL

My purr-babies are adjusting to each other quite well.  Miss Molly had been the 'only kitty' for a few years and Georgie was an 'invader' to her.  They are actually beginning to play a wee bit.  Well, mostly it is Georgie who is playing and Miss Molly being a grump. But at times she will swat at him and then run to tease him to chase - so it is looking better!!!

This time of year the weekly (or at least bi-weekly) meetings for Victorian Days get under way and I am swamped with that.  Of course the TOPS meetings are an every week thing year round.  The VFW Ladies Auxiliary meets once a month and we have 'extra' functions that go along with that too.  I have been so busy this past couple of months that I have had to pass up several of the functions my Red Hat group had planned.

I am so-o-o ready for winter to be done with.  We didn't get hit nearly as hard as many areas were this past week, but we have about 8" of the heavy wet stuff here last night.  I'm waiting in hopes that one of my "snow-plow faries" will arrive to remove it - else this afternoon I'll have to dig out my snow-blower!

Nothing special planned for March....just busy-ness!

Hi Kt, I know, it seems like a lot of my posts disappear, too.. I don't know if you have been on the "other" site for awhile, but you can read there what is happening in my life. We have been thrown a curve-ball as they say. ((Hugsss))
