Our youngest DSs divorce was finalized this afternoon.
Wow.....I'm so sorry, Jacquie.
Dear Jacqui, you must be feeling so down. There is not anything that anyone can say to make you feel any better either. I just hope really sincerely that you are allowed very frequent contact with your DGDs. When DS2 was divorced, DGS was only about 18 months old, I was not allowed any contact until he was about 11. Then only intermittent contact until he was about 16, He actually lived with me from 18 to 20, now at 26 we are very close. But it could have been very different. Fortunately we just clicked and like as well as love each other. ExDIL still does not like any contact with me, or DS2, DGS plays it cool and doesn't push the fact that he sees me, although he doesn't hide it either. Wishing you all the very best, Sweetheart, knowing what a good grandmother you are, you must be hurting like hell. Sending love and hugs your way, Jenni
We are indeed fortunate that the GrDs will be living in town they currently do, as the school system is excellent.
Actually, Jacquie, sometimes when a divorce is decided upon and can be a clean break the faster it is over the better off all are.
