Many people enjoy going to the movies during the holiday season.
DH has some vacation days so we've seen several movies. Here's our thoughts on them:
Mission Impossible : Exactly what you'd expect - lots of action. Tom continues to look great. Suitable for ages 8+, IMO
The mmortals: Dh said this was awful; very disappointing. Explicit blood, guts and gore. Not really suitable for anyone. LOL
Tower Heist: Good, but not great. "Robin Hood" like plot
The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo: DH thought it was even better than the first movie.
New Year's Eve - going to see this today. I will edit to add my opinion later. Anyone seen Hugo or Tintin?

DH & I both loved Hugo.
LOL, I watched a lot of movies this Holiday too....but mine were all on Lifetime.......
I think I'll be seeing "The Descendents" on Sat.
I know we are wierd people but we haven't been out to see a movie since the 60s. I don't have a thing about seeing a movie as soon as it comes out....but when they come to tv I will see Hugo and War Horse...
I am not a germaphobe but there is just something about going to inside places with a lot of strangers that don't do it for me.. and now that I am older I need the pause button more than I did when I was younger....lol
LOL - I must remember your "pause button" usage more often.
Hugo would be my choice - lots of good messages for us.
