Around here for the most part old houses had a bigger back door than a front one for what reason no one knew but every woman will tell the men to bring the furniture in through the back door......

My DFIL said it was because the "women" didn't want the men to mess up the front of the house......come on.......we knew that the couch or the stove wouldn't go though the front door because it was to narrow...lol.....

He didn't believe us and he never measured either....we,,,,,,the women knew by looking we didn't have to measure but I have at times measured and the front door will be about 2 inches narrower than the back....

Hey what can I tell you men build the houses...lol

Here at my apt front door bigger which means having to come thru front door which can be an issue especially w/appliances. Now would hope they would be very careful w/bringing a new stove in which might be in the future. Did get a new refrigerator before new kitchen flooring & carpet throughout apt.
Must not have listened to a woman.
