NOVEMBER Roll Call *****
Thu, 11-01-2012 - 11:52am

Hi Ladybugs. It's November.  I know a lot of you are having problems replying to a post. (I know that I am) so am  hoping that the problems get fixed ASAP!

I am having the family here for Thanksgiving dinner this year, so have started planning early.  It gets harder and harder every year, doesn't it?

What plans do you have for this month?

please ignore the november file below....

hi shari,

glad you are ok after the storm. we are still waiting to hear from my cousin on long island that all is well with them.

mo and i will celebrate 39 yrs. of wedded bliss on the 10th. 3 grandyoungins have birthdays this month and our youngest and his wife have an anniversary. would be really busy if they all lived close, but that is not the case.

Thanksgiving will be just me and mo this year. our daughter and family are going to texas.

Well we are glad to be home from a very hot summer at our camper. All my kids were home on Oct. 20th for my dad's funeral.

Holloween passed without anything going on as far as anyone could tell anyway. Del sold our old camper today and we got a check from ins. for the shingles that came off in the wind storm we had a couple weeks ago. So much for replacment value....I shouldn't say that it is enough to replace the shingles that came off but you have to do the whole north side of the house

I bought a new Keurig coffee maker. This one we can't use our own coffee in I think the little cup thingy will come out in March.....but the coffee that came with it even if we make it with the most water that can go through is very strong so we make an 18oz mug of coffee and make a good 24 oz out of it... but it makes good on this later.

Thanksgiving if we get invited will probably be at our son's house here in town. Otherwise it is just me and pa... and that is still good......

Wow, I am actually responding to your 'roll call' before the month is half over, Shari!

I do not have any specific plans for this month - yet.  Of course that is normal for me! I do hope to be able to take Georgie to the vet to get "fixed" within the next couple of weeks.  He has been coming in the house a lot lately ~ and Miss Molly is less unhappy about it now!  I am really hoping he'll lose a bit of his 'need' to wander once he has been neutered.

I have a couple of TOPS things to attend (besides our regular weekly meeting), and a couple of VFW-LAUX things (besides our regular monthly meeting), and at least one Red Hat function that I may attend.  But no 'Holiday' plans just yet.

I just recently got some new glasses - two pair - and have already been back once to have the prescriptions adjusted and will have to go back at least one more time to have it done again.  They just are not listening to what I say when I tell them how far from my face I hold a book to read or how far I sit from my monitor!  Grrrr....

Guess that's about it other than say that (for those who might not know!) I am Katie (Kt) from the middle of the bottom third of the Michigan mitten.  And I am truly hoping that the techs at iVillage get the flaws in this newest system figured out soon.  I had hoped that when the iVillage techs took over control from Lithium our problems would go away.  Guess that was a bit much to ask for, eh?!!

We have nothing really plan for this month except the neurosurgeon lowered the boom on me yesterday with the results of my MRI and that I was stubborn. Will explain that in another post but it means not doing anything. We have no relatives here , so its me and hubby and doggie makes 3. We don't do holidays but we do like turkey and the trimmings for sure. Except on my diet I really have to count the calories but its paying off. Seems this month is doctors appointment month. I have 4 appointments this month and hubby has 1 so far. We try to get the very first ones available so we aren't waiting all day. other then that nothing else going on.Still have all the Victims of Sandy in my prayers and for the up coming nor easterner they are predicting to hit the same areas up north this coming week.  Hope every one is safe and has a good November....ellie-mite

Wow. 1st I was not authorized to reply.  Still have jinxes I see.

I'll be going to DSIL's DM house for Thanksgiving.  I do this only for my DD.  The day after we have Thanksgiving at DD's/DSIL's house and play games afterwards.

Other than a few days of work and some volunteering at Noah's Ark, I'm not doing much.

How did your cousin make out? I saw that a lot of people in Long Island were devastated by the storm. So sad! Happy anniversary by the way!

I am sorry to hear about your dad. I use my Keurig for making Chai Tea and hot chocolate, too. Yummy!
