Good Morning to all Ladybugs!
I'm soon to be out the door to buy groceries and run errands.
Princess and the boyfriend will be with me today - Fun! Fun! Fun!
The boyfriend will eat dinner with us tonight and I don't have a
clue as to what I'm gonna fix.

Growing up in S.C., we called it supper, but after I moved to the big city, where most people call it "dinner," I switched.
We eat dinner fairly late.....7:30 or 8:00.
I usually call our evening meal "dinner", but in all actuality
"Supper" is probably the word I should use.
We eat very informally, but around the dinner table..
I think of "dinner" as being more formal than anything we
do.
Good morn to u, too.
HAGD,
Joan
I agree with you Deb...dinner seems formal to me.
It's supper here.
It's called dinner here.
When I was growing up, it was always lunch and then supper except for Sunday when lunch became dinner and supper was still that.
Deb,
Your mention of overflow reminds me of meals at my grandma's house when several of the cousins were around.
I never knew anything about Dinner unless it was noon...but after I started watching movies many years ago....the people would say they were going out to dinner when should they pick you up? 9pm? Really........lol
It breakfast, dinner and supper here...but then it depends on who I am with too......lol
