I've enjoyed the few surprise parties given for me over the years. Of course the "surprise" was a little shocking, but the parties were all such fun that I didn't mind the shock. The fact that someone took the time to plan such an event has made them all

Hugs,

Melissa

I do not like them either, and I told my kids that but they tried to have one for our anni. but not only did my stepmom ask if we were going to be home on that day which wouldn't have tipped me off but she said that they might be coming out just wondered if we were going to be there... now, since the only place they drive anymore is just a couple miles from home unless it is taking the bus to the casino I knew something was up....then the week before my best friend who lives a little over 100 miles away knocked on the door, and asked wheres the party......I said what party? Then I told her I didn't think we were supposed to know.....then she got flustered.....lol....so the jig was up.....

I really wanted to tell people that called and said "what are you doing for your anni? I wanted to say that we were going to AZ to visit some of the campers.....that would have been neat except everyone knows we don't like to travel.........

No, suprise parties please.....

I've never had one. Not sure I would really want one. I think it's neat that people think enough of someone to give them one.
