we like mushroom and barley and taco soup. yes, i have frozen soups before and they work really well.
Ask the fishermen that used to go ice fishing or our family and friends and they will say that my chicken noodle soup is the hands down favorite.......I use home made noodles...
I will make chicken stock and freeze it but not the soup with the noodles......
Ham and bean......very good and will freeze well.......
Hunter's stew (really a meat and veggie soup) is probably the best soup and easiest and cheapest and able to freeze and then add to it soup that there ever was....almost everyone likes it......
(1) Red Lentil, (2) Clam Chowder, (3) Split Pea.
Chili, vegetable (no meat), chicken noodle my favs.
No, never have frozen mine.

Our favorites are Southwest Vegetable Soup, Carabba's Lentil Soup (both of these freeze nicely),
and Potato Soup (which doesn't freeze well). I also make Chicken with Rice Soup which dh & dd love (I don't care very much for rice).
Split pea is my favorite followed by my white chicken chili.
Good morning Shari! I think my two favorite winter soups are a big pot of chili, always better the next day of course, and then crockpot beef stew! Yummy!
My favorite ones to make are pepper pot soup, chili (a coulple of kinds), potato, and ham & bean.
