I always participate in Relay for Life. This year it was moved to Sat. and the location was moved. Sadly, only less than a half of the survivors in our county were there. The number of companies also dwindled probably because of the economy. The track was dirt with grass and weeds. I did about six laps and tripped over a weed patch. I called it halt. When the color guard posted the colors I said to the lady standing next to me that the American flag was lower than the other and that isn't the way it is meant to be. She agreed. Afterwards, I saw an Army guy there and told him. I said the problem was that the guy holding the American flag was shorter than the other.
There was one tent that had a spinning wheel where you could win a big stuffed animal. Since I have two grands with birthdays next month I spent my money there. No big animal but I did get the older one a pair of glasses with flashing lights on them, a ball for the next to last baby who likes to throw things, and a funny looking toy you throw for all the rest.
For the last two days a beautiful cardinal has come to visit the bush near my window. He is so pretty.
A man walks his toy poodle every day and lets the dog go where ever he wants. I've told him to keep him out of my yard. The other day the man was talking with a neighbor totally ignoring his dog. Yep, the dog did it again. When I called the man he said that the dog didn't do it for six months and I lete my dog out. I told him that yes the dog belongs here and if I wanted to pick up after his dog, the dog would live here too. So after ignoring calls because the dog is untrained he came over and picked him up. I told him to be a responsible pet owner and he blubbered "You are just unfriendly." It didn't help that I laughed at such a stupid remark. Some people.
Have a great week.
