Due to aging back issues, I found sleeping in bed to be iffy.

I too have alot of problems not going to sleep, just staying asleep. As I have severe scoliosis, it is hard to find a comfy position for me and I do tend to toss and turn alot. But I also use propped up pillows and that does help alot for me.
Seems wer're in the same boat - the scoliosis is the biggest issue with me also.
