Springtime Down Under

Hello Every Buggy, Spring is a little sluggish at present, promised a warm day today, but it is not really happening. For the first time in years we have already the average rainfall for September. Water is always an issue in Oz..

Over 3 months since DS2 and family moved to Hong Kong, and I certainly miss them. DDIL and the kids had to go back to Bangkok for a couple of weeks as her mother was very ill, and the arrangements to look after her had fallen through. It was an opportunity for the little ones to see their father again also, nearly 2 years since they had seen him and their other grandparents. Very stressful for DDIL, she is the youngest, but carries most of the load. DS2 flew out there on the 15th and they all went back to Hong Kong on the 21st,

They seem to be settling well into Hong Kong, and I hope to be able to go visit before too long. I haven't been there for over 20 years so there will be a lot of changes, but the big thing is being together again.

DS1 is well settled in BangKok, no news about the wedding yet, it was going to be in November, but he is bucking at paying the dowry! He may be out here in December, but not sure yet when.

My health is still a bit iffy, having another angioplasty on October 4, hopefully to unblock another blocked artery, The ulcers are certainly a lot less painful, but still a wretched nuisance. There is finally a bit of a light on the horizon regarding the insurance claim from when I broke my hip - there is a meeting being held on September 29, I don't have to attend, just be available on the phone. Just hope it settles, feel my life is in limbo and don't like it!

Adult grandkids are both having a bit of a rough time, but are both managing to talk to me about it. Nice for me, because I do worry about them both. DGD is 30 in March, and she only has her DDad who lives in another State. DGS is 26, has his DM and StepDD here, but it is a bit difficult to talk. His halfbrothers are more achievers. All in all, life ain't real bad LOL Love and hugs, Jenni

Thank you, BB. It's almost 2 years since the accident. The bus company have admitted negligence and liability, it's just been a matter of getting reports on the amount of disability and the future. Should be resolved fairly soon now,

DS1 is so funny, he wants the typical Thai wedding, which DS2 has not had yet, and typical means dowry. Don't know if it will be resolved, he digs in his heels sometimes, as stubborn as his mother.

Will let you know as soon as the surgery is done, should all be well. Love and hugs, Jenni

Thanks to you all. My life is so very quiet at present that I'm going stir crazy! Today, and probably most of this week, has reverted to Winter, and it is so wet and cold. Nearest GF has been ill for over a week, so have actually seen her very rarely, she is recovering, but very slowly. Love and hugs, Jenni
