After carting my beloved library of books around with me from coast to coast (and 22 moves), I made the decision about 6 years ago when I was forced to move out of my little rental house into a small apt. to finally get rid of most of my book collection.

Good to know you did not miss what you got rid of. That is pretty good motivation;-)

That's a great description "weird hoarding comfort thing". That is nailing it right on the head!

Love the Mama Blu playbill for "Gone with the wind"! Truly special!

OK so you didn't like "Ladies of the Club" either, but did you hold onto it for 30 odd years...I mean really......who does that? ;-)

That settles it! My "Ladies of the Club" needs to be "released into the world for others to enjoy";-)

It all sounds so marvelously freeing!

I may even run with scissors after this:-)

I've culled books many, many times over the years - do miss some of them still. DH 'helped' he hated the amount I read. Had a small bookcase jam-packed with my 'keepers' and coped with that. Just before DS2 went to Hong Kong he gave me a present of 2 huge bookcases! Oh the temptation! Even though I'm a dyed in the wool bookaholic, I will resist. I do re-read heaps. Funnily we were talking about Francis Parkinson Keyes a few days ago - could only remember 'Dinner at Antoine's', but have read many of them, but not for years. Didn't remember 'Honour Bright'. Would love to read them again. Hope you do find them on Kindle, but would suggest trying one at time, in case they no longer appeal. Love and hugs, Jenni
