I know that for me it was Legos.  Loved them, still love them.  My kids even love them.

Where does your favorite rank on this favorite toy of the century list?

I did love Dolls.

One doll I had asked for was a Skipper doll...

My Mom and Dad did not have a lot of money, my dad had been in the hospital.

I got this Doll named Ginger, I loved her!

The best gift though was seeing our Dad.

I think I was around six or seven.

It was a stuffed horse, white with tiny blue polka dots, tail and main replaced by y Mom as were the eyes --- I loved that horse so much that I insited I be allowed to take it into the operating room when I had my tonsils out at the age of 9. They said they sterilized it and let me take it in! Not sure that was true --- they could well have removed it from the sterile field as soon as I went under anaesthetic , but what they did kept me from throwing a hissy fit!

Stuffed horses didn't make the list! Not surprised!

I'm trying to teach my kids that giving of yourself is the best gift.  I bet that seeing your Dad made everything even more special.

My son took a Batman action figure in to one of his many surgeries and I think that they kept it with him the entire time because when he was in the recovery room, it was in bed with him still.  :womanindifferent:

Barbies were my favorite and I had quite a collection. When I turned 18 as part of my transition into adulthood I gave the entire collection to a little girl who shared my same love of Barbies and cared for hers the way I cared for mine. I can only imagine the hours of enjoyment she got out of them. On that list Barbies rank #4 and I'm not at all surprised.

How sweet of you to give your Barbies to another Barbie lover.  Made me think of the end of Toy Story 3.
