I hear so many people complaining about their jobs that I wonder if anyone likes their job? If not, why? If so, why?

I've always liked my jobs. I might not have liked the environment or some people I had had to deal with, but the jobs I liked. And still do.

Today I had a late phone meeting to talk about a work project friends and I have decided to take on (in addition to our day jobs.) I love it! It's a learning experience, I'm working with people I like and respect and who are very good at what they do, and it's something that will benefit a lot of people. I know that there will be some bumps ahead - everything in life has bumps - but right now it's looking good :-)

I like my job and know how lucky I am to have one and to work with the people I do. I get burned out and bored with my work, but I'm doing what I always wanted to do, and I work with incredibly supportive, friendly people. I have a lot of flexibility and good benefits. Our office is facing layoffs, but I don't think I'm on the cut list. I would be devastated if I lost this job.

I love my job. I do fundraising for a University, and even this weekend I got to go and watch one of our donors play in a seniors tennis match. I get to meet all sorts of wonderful people who have decided to give others a helping hand!

I think that is great that you have always liked your jobs. I have has some pretty difficult/very unglamorous jobs so while I haven't always liked the work, I usually try to find something about each situation that I like.

Oh ick Ting! We certainly hope that aren't laid off. There are still cuts being made in my town despite the fact the news keeps reporting jobs are being created and the economy improving. We're still waiting for that to happen here!

I could never be a nurse/aide because I would not be able to stay unattached. I get too involved and it would take it's toll on me.

What did you do at the law firm Molly? My daughter is in school working on an office degree and she is thinking about taking a class or two to see if she's interested in becoming a paralegal.
