Hurt by a meteorite?!

What on earth are the chances of being hit and wounded by a meteorite?? I thought it was so bizarre when I looked at the news headlines this morning and more than 500 people in Russia had been wounded when a meteorite hit them. http://news.yahoo.com/possible-meteor-shower-reported-eastern-russia-052833588.html I'm thinking those people all need to start playing the lottery!
