The internet and cats

I have been a cat lover all my life but have recently noticed that cat-watching has become some sort of internet craze. Like that one adorabl ugly cat, Tardar Sauce. Is it just that I'm interested in cats and have noticed it more or do you think they have become more popular.

LOL Brenda. I'm a cat lover (have 4 of them myself) and internet cat-watcher so I don't really know if it has become more popular or not. I know my daughters love Tard and constantly share her pics on my FB page and I am constantly listening to howling laughter from their Youtube cat-watching. ;-)

I have a cat with a continual smile on his face and I wish we had thought of making him famous by the internet!

I like cats. Not a crazy fan, but I like them (I have one and have had them growing up). I don't think they're more popular now, LOLCats and I Can Has Cheezeburger have been around for a long time, but I think that internet memes have become more popular, thus creating instant fame for the likes of Tardar (whom I adore!).

I'm more of a dog person than a cat person but I'm an animal nut... and I love all the cat things that have come out on the internet. Cats are fascinating to watch... and Grumpy Cat (aka Tardar Sauce) rocks! LOL

I'm not really a cat person but have to admit Tard is hilarious. Like one of the other people mentioned, I wish I'd have thought of making a star out of my pet.

And I am not sure watching cat videos has been made more popular but did you see this article about the guy who was outsourcing his job so he could watch them?
