1. Have you ever considered writing your memoirs or writing a biography of a family member?

2. Did you make any resolutions to be more creative this year?

3. If you were offered a grant that would allow you to either take a specialized course that will get you a certification at the end of it or one that will take you through the steps of setting up your own business and partner you with a mentor, which would you choose and why?

4. Have you ever gone fishing? Did you catch anything?

5. Do you know how to sew?

1. Have you ever considered writing your memoirs or writing a biography of a family member? ~ No, not really. What I would like to do - and I ought to start soon - is to have a series of interviews with my mother and other family members then somehow compile all that.

2. Did you make any resolutions to be more creative this year? ~ Yes. I promised myself that I would make time for creative activities.

3. If you were offered a grant that would allow you to either take a specialized course that will get you a certification at the end of it or one that will take you through the steps of setting up your own business and partner you with a mentor, which would you choose and why? ~ Oooh, that's difficult. I think right now I'd want to set up my own business. Having a system or a person who can guide one through the steps, and then having a mentor who has gone down that path her/himself would be ideal and make the process less dauting.

4. Have you ever gone fishing? Did you catch anything? ~ The last time I went fishing I was probably my nephew's age. I think I caught a boot :-D

5. Do you know how to sew? ~ Only the basics, most unfortunately.

Wow, Nancy. that would be such a wonderful adventure to write a novel based on your great-grandparents. Are you planning to go ahead with this one day?

Have you been busy beading then? What are you currently making?

What kind of business would you have, Nancy?

Yes, I would like to eventually write the novel. My great-grandparents were a study in opposites, yet they made their marriage work.

I think that I would eventually like to start selling my jewelry. There are lots of opportunities here in Charleston to sell your own art and crafts.

Right now I'm currently working on a necklace of prayer beads. I'm using the traditional Tibetan Buddhist number of 108 beads, though I'm also adding in spacer beads.

....1. Have you ever considered writing your memoirs or writing a biography of a family member?...No.

2. Did you make any resolutions to be more creative this year?...no . Just doing things on my own for trying different recipes. I got the recipes but have not tried them yet.

3. If you were offered a grant that would allow you to either take a specialized course that will get you a certification at the end of it or one that will take you through the steps of setting up your own business and partner you with a mentor, which would you choose and why?...Maybe the Leslie Sansone walking . Her walking is fun with lots of movement.

4. Have you ever gone fishing? Did you catch anything?..With swh before. Do not think I caught anything. Have to have a lot of waiting and patience.

I hope that you do write it, Nancy. It would also be interesting to study the era in which they lived.

Did you read that article about opposites who make a relationship work because beneath the opposites couples share the same basic, essential values and goals. Was it like that for your great-grandparents, too?

Once you start selling your jewellery, you can also sell via sites like Etsy, too! I'd love to see the necklace once you've finished it, if you don't mind that is.

In my book, trying out new recipes is creative since the end result does affect our sense of smell, taste and sight. And good food makes us feel good, too.

Are you doing the current community challenge with Leslie Sansone, Sweetrose? Are you thinking of becoming a walk leader? It looks like it could be a pretty good business and something fun to do at the same time.

I did the challenge when I wanted to work on reducing in 2006. She started in 2007 and I needed to change and wanted to reduce more. I did join in 2007. Being a walk leader is hard, too. The trying to convince people who are willing to do the walks. I have talked to 3 neighbors to try them, and they rather do something else Poppy.

Sweetrose, that's a very good point about trying to convince people to do the walk since you've got to develop the business! Becoming a walk leader isn't cheap.

What would your neighbours rather be doing? Did they tell you?
