Enjoy him Poppy. He can have me chuckling out loud to myself many times.

They are fast paced too.

I love the Dresden Files! Like Sweetrose said, they are fast paced and can be very funny at times. They can also be dark, but there is a good balance between the darkness and the light. I like how Harry changes throughout the series. Butcher brings in a lot of characters and some of them you come to know very well.

The interaction with the characters are good too with Harry and his friends.
If this series ends, I hope the author makes another good one.

Hi Nancy!

Jim Butcher is a talented writer. Harry Dresden is a pretty complex character, not at all one or two dimensional. A couple of people have mentioned the series based on the books, but he writes so vividly that I almost don't want to watch the series. Maybe I ought to remind myself that these are two different works, and the TV Harry Dresden lives in a completely different dimension to the Harry Dresden that inhabits the books.

Sweetrose, how many books are there so far? Hasn't Jim Butcher written another series? Codex Alera? Have you or Nancy read this?
