Always --- and here in Ohio, given that everyone seems to call us a swing state, I felt obliged to vote today, even though there were no issues on this ballot and all our democratic candidates were running unopposed...

Besides, voting means you keep registered and the way some states (inlcuding Ohio) are going now, making registering to vote ever and ever harder, THAT is a necessity, IMO!

I've never really lived in one of those important states for voting but I always go and vote in primaries. I normally skip city council elections only, but this past year I voted in our city election because I had a good convo with our current mayor and a really really bad convo with the lady running against him.

Based on the county counts of who voted for who adn what on all party ballonts, only 1/3 the votes were cast by Democrats (no choices on the ballot, basically, adn no issues to drive thee turn-out)... And that in a heavily Democratic county (we have the univesity, after all!)... What ios more, so many local offices tend to be Republican (like mayor, sheriff, county commisioner) and even they run unopposed, so many things like mayor don't even get voted for any more around here!

I only do primaries to keep registered!
