Well the weather seems to be on everyone's minds. Who can't wait for spring?! Have things calmed down in your area or are you still dealing with the bizarre elements that most of the rest of us are still dealing with?

I can see the ground and it is above freezing now. The sun is shining and there is no chance of snow being talked about. I'd say spring is close to arriving here.

Seems like we had spring in January. We have had more rain in February than in January which is very abnormal. But we have had only like 4 days of rain in February. It is lightly raining as I type this and I am stopping myself immediately if I start to complain about the rain. My native plants that should be blooming later in the spring are blooming now and while they are pretty I worry about what is going to happen later. We are basically at about 1/4 of our normal rain and at this point it looks like we will have a hot dry summer with a huge danger of fires. This is the strangest winter all over the country and for that matter the world. Look at the flooding in England for example.

I hope everyone is safe with the stroms that I have been hearing about.

It's cold here again but there is no snow on the ground. I know they are talking about a few chances of some accumulation but they are often wrong so this time I really hope that true to form-they are wrong.

Still dealing with this nasty winter here in my part of MI, Karla!  About an hour ago the snow was falling so thickly that I could barely see the house across the street, now the sky is nearly clear and the sun is shining.  It is still bitter cold (7ºF) but the sun sure is welcome.  Our temps are due to drop to sub-zero again tonight.  I am so-o-o-o ready for spring!!!!
