I know many of us are in parts of the country that are dealing with drought conditions. If you are, how is your garden doing? How are you keeping things alive? Have you harvested anything yet?

It's in heat stress alhtough we do have water since we live on a reservoir that is spring fed and has plenty of water.

I have harvested cucumbers, eggplants and various varieties tomatoes --- enought to inject a little freshness into meals, but not bumper crops. And something ate my bean crop to the stems... so while there are tiny little green beans, they never gor bigger than little tiny worms since there were no leaves to nourish them!

The plants seem to have stalled out becasue of 100+ days. SImilarly, our CSA has cancelled the last two week so fharvest for the same reason... hopefully we will start again this week as it has cooled to the high 80s and we did catch up on rain for July i one day!  (alhtough too late to save the local corn crop, I suspect).
