Have you heard of the pro-plant, Flexitarian diet? What are your thoughts on this-is it for those who are wishy washy or a step in the right direction?

I think it's definitely a step in the right direction - it's a healthier way of eating, plus saves money; but if you like meat, you still can get your "fix" occasionally.

I like the term. I know several folks -- and am closely related to a couple -- who call themselves vegetarians but do eat meat whenever they feel like it. It's Thanksgiving, they're in Paris, they're a little toasted and Happy Hour is serving up shrimp wrapped in bacon, whatever. I wish they'd call themselves flexitarians instead, and save the "v" word for when they're not making exceptions anymore.
