Another cruise ship disaster!

My gosh, I have been watching the coverage of the stranded cruise ship ( and I'm thinking I will never go on another cruise. I can't imagine what those people have been through and honestly keep wondering why on earth it took so long to rescue them. It makes no sense to me that in this day and age there wasn't immediate help and they did not get those people off that ship.

Oh I know. I can't imagine the horrendous environment on that ship. And to be stranded for sooooo long.

We've been watching; there were over two dozen passengers from my neck of the woods. High school students, a newlywed couple and others... I know a group of parents had driven over to Mobile to wait for the ship. I would be terriffied it my kid were aboard.

Brenda, I too have been watching the coverage just because I am fascinated with cruise ships after taking a wonderful cruise with my husband a few year ago. It seems like there is just one disaster after another with them anymore. It does make me think twice about ever getting on another one.

I find it quite interesting that the passengers are reporting far worse conditions than the managment and spokespeople for the cruise line. Is there something wrong with the Carnival management that they've never heard of cell phones?

I bet those people are so glad to be off that ship!
