Flu season is coming.
Yep, we all four usually get the shot each year but we have not yet.
I'm with Mare...never get one. Never get sick either. My husband gets one every year for free, and he still gets sick. I don't even get sick when he does, and he's had rotovirus, norovirus, and just plain awful URIs. I guess I just have super-immunity. Might be because I worked so long in a clinic...I've been exposed to everything, including TB.
I'm not opposed to getting one, but only will if my dr. insists. I just saw her yesterday for a checkup and she never mentioned it. Neither did I.
I don't get sick very easily. Seems I have a really good immune system. Being retired means we are not around sick people as much. We really don't avoid places just careful to always wash my hands, carry hand sanitizer with me. If I hear some one coughing and sneezing I do try to stay away from them.
the last time I was sick everybody in the house was sick and that was 7 yrs ago....we have had the kids practice safe personal hygiene BIG TIME esp during cold/flu seasons....it is no fun being sick that is for sure...my dh cannot get it due to health issues and I am a sahm so I do not get it....never did...
I'm with you Lor...
Didn't get a flu shot. Our Dr said as long as you have a healthy immune system and are under the age of 65 you really don't need one. So since Dh and I are both really healthy we so far have not gotten a flu shot.
We get flu shots every year, and have for a number of years. With our health issues, it was suggested that we do so. Our insurance paid for it this year! Woohoo! They haven't in the past, but it usually only costs $25 each and for us is well worth it. We were a bit concerned, since he's allergic to sulphur and it's contained in eggs, but since
I never thought of that for vegetarians...
