Granddaughter could use some prayer

Hi Everyone,
Most of you know my granddaughter was born way too early on New Year's Day and didn't have very good chances at first. She is now 12 weeks old and doing really well (she is just over 4lbs now). Today she is having a colostomy reversal for the perforation she had in her intestines several weeks ago (they had to perform an emergency colostomy) which is major surgery and she will have to be put back on the ventilator for a couple of days. We are all a bundle of nerves over this but know that this surgery is a good thing for her. She is just finally doing so good that we all hate to see her back down again.

Karla, you've got 'em. Many prayers for dgd as well as your whole family. I can well imagine you're all quite nervous about this procedure, but I doubt they'd go ahead with it if the docs didn't feel she was strong enough to handle it. The ventilator is scary, but by using it, her body has one less 'chore' to do, allowing it to concentrate on the places that need attention.

We have one more surgery to get through (brain shunt) after this and then hopefully we can start thinking about bringing her home.
