Nudity in movies with kids present

I went over to a friends house yesterday afternoon and her husband was watching a movie in the den that had some pretty rough language and female nudity in it. I was really surprised he just kept on watching when one of the kids and her friend entered the room. I would have paused it when the kids had entered the room and my husband would have done the same not only for the kids but had one of my friends come over. I thought it was so rude of the man and my friend didn't even seem to notice it was out of place. Is it just me or does his behavior seem inappropriate?

I think his behavior was inappropriate especially if his daughter had a friend over. I'd be furious if it were my daughter over at someone's house and the father was watching a movie with nudity.  Sure it is his house but he needs to have the decency to turn the TV off or watch something more suitable for mixed company.

I would have also paused it, but playing devil's advocate, if they were engrossed in the movie and didn't realize the kids had entered the room I can understand why he may not have. But once he realized she was in the room, at least with the friend, I would have expected him to turn it off. I say this only because my husband tends to get engrossed into a movie, or video game, or whatever and not even notice when other people enter the room.

I would be upset by that. Even as an adult if I went in and it was on.. as a mom, I would be angry if I knew my daughter might walk in on that. If you have a child, you might want to consider not allowing your child to go there... My daughter had friends who could come to our house, but she could not go to theirs. It may be hard for kids to understand but as parents we must do what is best for our kids.
