Could they make the board home pages with any smaller and more difficult to read text? I need a magnifying glass to read it. It's still very difficult to post, with the text not posting in the size I specify. Are they trying to drive away people? Very frustrating.

I was talking to a bunch of former posters. They've given up and moved on to other sites. It's a shame, this used to be such a wonderful site.

Jan, first of all, on the size you are posting in.

Hi Jan -

I'm going to have a two part answer for you. :)

Regarding the font size on the new layout. The size is the same across the site. (Anywhere you see text, that's the standard size.) We'll definitely look into it if you're having an issue aside from the standard font size, but it should match the text size that is in the right/side column, for example.

There is a way to make it bigger across the entire site though. :) Go into your preferences (edit my preferences):

iv-ps_quicklinks.png

Then navigate to the display section and scroll down to text size:

iv-ps_defaultfontsize.png

Change the font size to large or x-large. Here's an example of what happens when you change it to large:

iv-ps_defaultfontsize-large.png

And here's how it will show on the main board page:

iv-ps_largedefault.png

If you go x-large, it will be even bigger. It will also make the font size in your posts larger. All the fonts are connected via that display font/text area. :)

Now, the second issue - the font size not changing. Unfortunately, that is an issue with IE7 so we recommend using IE8 or a non-internet explorer based browser (such as Firefox). Your best bet would be to upgrade to the current stable version of Internet Explorer (IE8), which can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx - but I do want to note (because it pops up on their site) you do not want to download IE9, as that is not a stable version nor is it currently a supported browser. People who are willing to do troubleshooting and report back to Microsoft are the ones who should/could try IE9. Stick with IE8 and you'll be good. :)

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you! I changed the text size to X-Lg and I can see it without a magnifying glass!

Edited to add that I'm trying Large text size for a while, but may go back to X-Lg at some point.
