Pregnant at 50 years old?

Wow-can you imagine? Would you consider it? I'm having enough trouble trying to find the energy to be grandma-much less new mom again-and I'm not yet 50.

Delayed motherhood is nothing new. Thanks to modern medicine and sheer luck, women have been having babies past 40 for a while now. Juxtaposed with the train wrecks on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, giving birth at 40 seems downright brilliant. And clearly, more and more people agree: In 2008, about 8,000 babies were born to women 45-plus, more than double the number in 1997, according an article in New York. I'm in my late 40's with a 6 year old and having the energy to keep up with her is exhausting.
When I was dealing with infertility, a friend recomended a book to me...

I had my youngest at 40.
I say CONGRATS to anyone who is pregnant no matter what the age if they really want a child and can give them all the love they need......
I am 43 and would love to finally get pregnant - but I can't imagine pregnancy past age 45.
