Sarcasm online

It seems to me that sarcasm has taken a front seat in how people reply or communicate to one another these days, expecially on line. Sarcastic replies, comments, blogs and articles just seem so rude and disrespectful to me and I don't find them funny. Is it an internet thing or  maybe I am just old fashioned?

LOL I see some things and wonder did their parents never tell them "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

I think it is 'both'. And I am right there with you!! Wink Civility is so rare in people now, online or off. But as far as online, now ANYONE can blog, comment, spew whatever AND to top that off, too many feel it easier to be mean when they are sitting annonymously behind a computer screen. Some would never say such things to someone's face or in public. (I also think because of the internet we 'see' more of the mean, not so smart people too.) Now, if we could just figure out a way to block these people from the internet...... Smile
