Okay here we are almost mid August and suddenly we've gone from record heat to what may be record cool temps in my area. I've seen the first of winter predictions coming out and they range from coldest/snowiest on record to record high temps. lol-Someone is bound to get it right!

Go ahead and make your winter predictions now and let's see who comes closest. I'm going to guess that my area has a prolonged cool and rainy but not record cold winter.

What do you say about your area?

Hmmm here we're still having a heat wave and the wildfires just started. I'm hoping winter isn't too extreme. If it has to be cold fine, but no crazy storms or tornados or massive power outages.

I've lived most of my life in the same basic region and snow at Christmas seems to be a rare event. I believe I have seen more Christmas Days in the 70's than cold and snowy. Typically it's around 50 on Christmas here.

It's very, very dry here but the temps have finally come down. There is burn ban here so hopefully wildfires is not something we will have to deal with.

Last winter was extremely mild here. Spring warm. Dry and hot this summer.. I am going to bet another mild winter, though it is said that the seasons even out... I think global warming does exist....

We've had the same weather and I'm all for a mild winter! I live in a more rural area and snow/ice can shut this town down for days.
