Does anyone else feel that way?
As Rosemary used to say, "Cal, do want cheese with that whine?".
That is OK, Cal...that is why we are here....Holidays are not really my favorite...too much to do....and too high of expectations....Plus other stuff going on here that makes me blue....so I do what I can....and put a smile on my face....It will soon be over....Guess I am a downer too....lol...Just keep plugging away...do the most important and let the rest go...Good for giving him a list....my hubby does help....shop, wrap, and clean....so that is a plus...Hugs, Ruth
Cal, we've all been there.
:smileysad:Thanksgiving and Christmas haven't been the same since Daddy died supposedly on Dec. 26th (nobody dies on Christmas) and Mama died just before Thanksgiving a few years later.
Oh, I'm so glad you mentioned the Yankee candle...I'll get mine out.
Lottie, my DM died 17 yrs ago on Dec 6.
Ruth, I hope that the "other stuff going on" that makes you blue will resolve itself soon...for the better.
I agree, Lottie, the holidays aren't the same especially after one's parents die.
Because we've always had a pretty informal gathering on Christmas night, I think the kids will remember being at our one of our DSs houses, having other kids to play with and very informal eating & drinking.
