Well, for me the holidays aren't over yet. We still need to get through New Years and then there are other holidays coming up like Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. But I am looking forward to figuring out how to get out of this cold rainy weather we are having. I know we desperately need the rain but I am getting decidedly tired of it! Although we should be rewarded with a wonderful CA wildflower show this spring. So that is the upside!
We are at about 150% of normal amount of rain here but we don't complain because you never know when Mother Nature will turn off the spicket and we won't get anymore. There is wonderful sking in the mountains and that is another place that our water is stored. We have a few days without rain and that is good because we are already having flooding and it about 3 months ahead of when it usally occurs,
My daughter is coming to town on Friday through Sunday! She is doing a presentation for her job on Saturday, training people who will be working with families who have a baby with Down syndrome. This is the first time in nearly 20 years when we have had a chance to visit just by ourselves without the kids being around! I love being with them, but I am looking forward to this time together.
i'm looking foward to spring. ( smiling) we have plenty of snow this winter. last year at this time we had 3inchs and now we have 25 inchs. i love laying in bed looking out side and watching the sunrise and all the wild animals in the back yard. we have some cold nights and days right now. teens and tonight -5.
hope everyone will have a fun winter. maybe someone doing some winter sports. suzy

I can't believe it's ALREADY January!
2013!
Wow!
I had a quiet Christmas with my ds and dd and I finally got to see one another December 29.
My ds and I moved to another city so that is one of the Changes that has been harder for us.
It was so good to see her...;)...
We have had some very cold weather and we have lots of snow.
Probably staying in today but hopefully I will get out and about tomorrow.
I didn't go out anywhere yesterday either...;)...
Not too sure what the New Year holds just want everyone to be safe and warm...;)...Happy and Healthy!
Lorie
