Anxiety Medication Haze?

Hi all, I'm new but I was wondering something. I've dealt with anxiety and panic attacks all my life and at different points have been on medication. I started this most recent round in August. I was wondering, do any of you ever feel like your emotions are masked when you're on medication? Like they're there, but they're behind a wall and you can't get to them? Is this how people normally feel, is it what control of emotions feel like? Maybe I'm just a little nuts, but I'd love to hear your input. Have a great day!
Welcome. I don't have that same feeling when I am on my anxiety or depression meds. In fact when I'm not on meds I sort of feel like you are describing or when I have to take heavy doses of antihistimines.
What medications are you on? I take Prozac for my depression and it controls all the other stuff too. I also have asthma so I have those meds as well and do have to be careful with what I take.
You know, now that I am thinking about it more, I once overdosed on a different medication for depression and felt that way. It was accidental. I was really sick and I took my regular dose three times in less than 24 hours.
I would call my doctor if I were you and check and see if maybe your dosage needs to be adjusted or maybe you need to be on something different.
