When to up meds?
| Mon, 12-31-2012 - 11:30am |
Hi everyone —
Sorry I've been MIA. Lots going on between the holidays, general germs, husband dealing with blood clots, etc.
I was wondering how you knew it was time to up/change meds? I'm on a mild dose of zoloft, but I think it's not doing much anymore. Maybe I'm just not feeling it or maybe it is working and I'm just at a higher stress/anxiety level? Thoughts?

~hugs~
You know "Better" than anybody whether it's working or not...:)...
I knew my Anti-Depressant had worked, didn't seem to be so we adjusted the Dosage and then it just stopped working.
So I started a new one and have increased the Dosage and it seems to be working and right now the Dosage is high enough for me.
The holidays are hard enough for most people but you add in to the mix Anxiety and/or Depression it's even more difficult I think.

Happy New Year 2013!
Thanks, Lorie. I'm thinking it's time to ask for an increase. Just a small one.
How are you doing? I'm so glad the holidays are {almost} over. We still have some relatives to visit and then that's it, everything is coming down and going away, lol!
I think I tossed my meds when we were taking down the Christmas stuff. I finally got it all straightened out. I will pick up my new bottle tomorrow.
If your stress level has gone up, then your meds probably need to be increased. The meds you are taking were able to handle the regular stress but now you have way more.
Just saw this, sorry for not responding sooner...
I lost a friend a few days before Christmas and found out another had passed away in November...:(
My ds and had a quiet Christmas together but it was so nice...no drama!
I got to see dd after Christmas just before New Year's so that was wonderful...:)...
Short visit but at least we got to see her.
Finding I really am missing her...
It's getting easier, we have been here a few months now, it's home...
I am wondering about upping mine again but think I will wait, I know a lot of it had to do with getting through the "Holidays"...we did...:)...
~hugs~
