Has anyone used a name brand and been switched to a generic med and noticed it didn't work as well?

Hi. Yes, I do use mail order and have had problems with generic meds. My daughter has a seizure disorder and her doc told us that they know of problems with a specific med and it's generic equivalent so he writes on all prescriptions for this particular drug for no generics. So far we haven't had any problems with mail order and I'm really hoping we never do as I can see where it would take a lot of time to get corrected.

I had the same problem years ago..I got a generic mail order prescription for, I think it was Celexa, and the mail order pills didn't work at all. I could feel the symptoms of going off the med. I told me dr. I thought the mail order pills were bad and he was skeptical but wrote me a new script, anf I got those from the regular pharmacy and they were fine.

I always wondered if it was my imagination but I know I didn't imagine the symtpoms of the pills not working!

I don't have an answer for you on the mail order prescription, sounds like the other posts may have answered your question.

As far as generic, yes, the pill can be a different color, if it is made by a different manufacturer.
