I'm kind of new here... I have posted in the past but it's been awhile.
In the recent months my family and I have relocated across the country and it's really take it's toil. I miss my friends, the ones that always kept me going. I'm a sahm or 2 boys, I'm 35 if that makes any difference. I felt like before we moved here that my medication wasn't really doing the trick and now that I'm here I can really tell it's not doing anything. I was on Cymbalta after I had emergency back surgery a little over a year ago. In the hopes that it would help with the depression and the leg pain being caused by the temporary nerve damage. Anyway, I just meet with my new doctor yesterday and I finally have an official diagnosis of moderate to severe depression, mood disorder and moderate anxiety. Gesh, could anything else be wrong with me! lol The positive, now that I have someone that is taking my depression seriously unlike the last doctor! We can try and get this thing under control. So he just started me on Pristiq. We went over the medication and talked about all the risks, side effects and that it should start working right away within 2 weeks. I just wanted to see if anyone has any feedback regarding the medication. Was it good? Did you find it helped? Didn't help? What side effects? Any info you have would be helpful. I'm taking Cymbalta at a lower does for the next 3 days then going on the Pristiq. He also mentioned that we will most likely have to add something to that to get it's full benefit.
Thanks! & I can't wait to see some response.
