Did you know that 40% of patients do not report depressive symptoms to their doctor because they are afraid they will be put on medication?

HI, I didn't see the news cast but I hope they explained there is therapy and not all people need meds, or need them indefinitely.

I didn't hear the details of the story, so I don't know.

That is so sad, especially when you consider that in some cases, depression is just a symptom of some physical ailment such as hypothyroidism.

Hi Josie,

I posted this statistic some time ago and just came across the actual article of the study, so thought I would share it with you since you asked questions about the research:

Fear Of Antidepressants Leads People To Shun Treatment

How are you doing???

Thanks Heidi. Today wasn't so awful. I did get to see my therapist last week after 7 weeks and she apologized for her lame email response to mine. I heard from a friend she wasn't taking phone calls either. I have been attending a 10 week grief class at church. I am done with the legal role as executor of my husband's legal stuff and I went ahead and made my own funeral arrangements. Puppy is propped up against me asleep, she has saved my life in so many ways. hugs, Josie
