I am so sorry. My husband had neuropathy the last 6 years of his life and even got permanent social security disability for it. When I asked him once didn't he want to change from his wet socks and shoes into dry ones, he told me he couldn't even feel they were wet. My heart broke for him.
He took Cymbalta which helps with neuropathy as well as depression. I think the Dr mentioned neurontin also. I am sorry and I hope yours doesn't progess into the worst stages which I am sure you have researched so I won't repeat it here. Josie

Sorry to hear about your pain. I know Neurontin is the main medication they give for Nerve pain. They have put me on it before, but it only helps me a little because I cannot handle a high dose. It makes me sleep too much and feel hung over the next day, but it is a good med for neuropathy. I hope they find something to ease the pain. I have been dealing with chronic pain since 2004, but it hit worse in 2005. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, spinal stenosis, DDD and a couple other things. Hang in there. I know it is not easy to deal with. Hugs.
