I am having a real ups and downs time right now.
I sympathize with your situation and agree that there are often triggers to depression, very hard to figure out often. I encourage you to look at how what you eat and drink affects your moods. For me, a huge piece in beginning to recover from a depression that has plagued me for years has been to cut out refined sugar, eat regular healthy meals (to keep my blood sugar steady) and to cut out caffeine. I also went off my birth control pill; my GP told me that many women have a great deal of progesterone in us already and adding the extra hormone in the pill can worsen manic/depressive symptoms.
