Vitamin D Deficiency

Well, I had my follow-up with my doctor after having started Celexa. The blood work came back showing that I have a Vitamin D deficiency. I did some reading about it online and I found that depression and anxiety can be symptoms of it. Granted, I have a history of these conditions anyway, and am predisposed to it because both my parents had them, but I am hoping once I get the levels back up, it will help. I am taking a prescription dose once a week for the next 2 months. I also discovered that the deficiency can cause bone/muscle pain, and fatigue...which explains why I just haven't felt right for several months now. This is all the more reason I hope to get off the night shift ASAP!!!

Hey,

I had exactly the same. My blood work came back showing a very marked deficiency in Vit D . It can contribute to all kinds of problems, including depression, chronic pain and thining of the bones.

Promise

According to my oldest DD, who is a physician assistant that used to work in psychiatry, ALL of her patients were vitamin D deficient and most Americans are.

I work retail. I am in a very high-stress position as an overnight inventory associate at a high volume store of a popular national retailer. Basically, we get in way too much freight, and it falls on me and my coworkers to get it all put away in the stockroom...a task which is darned near impossible, given the amount we get in.
