Can an adult develop anorexia or is it usually just teenage girls?

Hello :)

Typically you hear of teenage girls but adults can develop anorexia. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 28 years old. Although I had an ED mindset for as long as I could remember and I always had body image issues, the behaviors never developed untill much later.

I was wondering the same thing. My 85 year old father in law appears to have anorexia. We are trying to get medical intervention because we can't get him to eat.

I've read a bit about anorexia with the elderly. I was curious about that too because I worked in an infirmary and I saw many residents, men and women, who seemed to have anorexia.

ED can strike anybody. That's my thought. It doesn't matter if you're young, old, male or female.
